Rose Mary received an Associate in Applied Science in Commercial Art & Advertising Design, Catawba Valley Community College in1993 she graduated with Honors. She became a Studio Owner in 1994, did a studio expansion in 2001 which doubled the size of her downtown retail space, and recently move to her Residential Studio in November 2006.
 
Rose Mary became a student member of PPA in 1993; Joined Professional Photographers of North Carolina in 1997. She received her Fellowship from PPNC in 2004. Studying under the noted photographer, Jay Stock, for 8 years has helped increase Rose Mary’s technical and creative skills. She’s Past President of Metrolina Photographic Society (PPA Affiliate), Charlotte, NC, and currently serves as Executive Secretary.

Rose Mary has taught Basic and Advanced Photoshop at a Local Community College for the past eight years, one of the things she loves about teaching is how much she learns from the students. She was a charter member of the Advisory Committee for development of Catawba Valley Community College’s newly formed Photography Technology Program.
 
She established a Photography Mentoring group for amateur photographers in Hickory, NC, 2002, which has been in existence since. Mentoring local high school and college students is an important part of Rose Mary’s sharing of her time and talents.
 
After four professional photographers signed up for her basic and advanced photography classes at the community college, she wondered, “What in the world can I teach them?”  That’s when she realized there was a need to prepare today’s photographers to be able to stay current with Adobe Photoshop’s advancements and teach them quick tips and tricks to give them time savings techniques.

Rose Mary has been a PPA Super Monday Instructor, conducted all day Seminar for PPNC twice, spoke at Capital District VPPA, Richmond VA; Photographic Society of the Triangle, Raleigh, NC.
